Debate Club

The purpose of the St. Teresa Debate Club is to promote effective debate practices and encourage logical thought and reasoning on various issues. An additional goal of debate club is to prepare students to approach real-world issues with reason by allowing them to cultivate their skills of persuasion and expression and providing students with an environment in which they can express their views. The purpose of fall meetings is to be to educate students about debate practices, argumentative tactics, and reasoning skills. The purpose of the winter and spring meets is to be to conduct debates. Anyone can be a member of St. Teresa Debate Club.
