Dr. Ken Hendriksen, Principal/CEO at St. Teresa High School, has presented to the St. Teresa Board of Directors a transition plan as he prepares to retire in the next few years. Hendriksen, who will turn 65 later this month, will work one-half (1/2) part-time as the CEO (only) beginning with the 2016-17 school year. His salary will be reduced proportionately. The St. Teresa Board will expend no additional monies from salaries and benefits with this new administration. The Board approved the plan at a special meeting on Monday, November 9, 2015. Even though his office hours will be reduced, Hendriksen stated, “I will still oversee all personnel, fund-raising and the budget. Obviously, the number of my night and supervisory duties will be cut back significantly. However, I will continue to be visible at many school activities.”
Mr. Larry Daly, who has served as the St. Teresa Asst. Principal for the past seven (7) years, will be named High School Principal and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school. He will be responsible for curriculum, planning, implementing policies, staff evaluations, discipline, and all aspects of running a high school.
Mr. Tim Brilley, who holds an administrative certificate will be appointed to Mr. Daly’s current position as Asst. Principal/ Dean of Students.
Sue Miller, Board President stated, “We have been discussing a transition plan since September. Keeping Dr. Hendriksen and his experience at St. Teresa as our CEO, even if in a part-time capacity, certainly benefits our students, faculty and entire Catholic School community.”
