Red Ribbon Week Activities
October 23rd – 31st
Tuesday October 23rd
SADD members will tie red ribbons on cars and on trees on the St. Teresa campus.
Wednesday October 24th
Red T-Shirt Day. Students who purchased a “Plant the Promise” t-shirt can wear it on this day. SADD students will be going to OLOL and Holy Family to plant bulbs that will flower in the Spring to remind everyone of our promise to be Drug Free. List of students to follow.
Thursday October 25th
Trivia Day. Students will be able to win t-shirts at lunch by answering correctly 3 out of 5 trivia questions on Drug/Alcohol Abuse, Distracted Driving and other subjects. 1 t-shirt per lunch period.
Distracted Driving Obstacle Course. A State Trooper will set up an obstacle course in the parking lot after school. Students, parents, faculty and staff will be able to drive a golf cart while texting to see how quickly their attention is off the course. Everyone who participates will receive a thumb ring to remind them “It Can Wait”. No message is more important than the life it may take.
Friday October 26th
No School. SADD members will be planting bulbs in the community and at St. Teresa. Other project to be announced.
Monday October 29th
Free Culver’s Ice Cream at lunch with red sprinkles
Tuesday October 30th
Rachel’s Legacy Assembly 10 a.m.
Friends of Rachel Training at 1 p.m. for SADD members, 1st and 2nd Quarter Driver’s Education students and selected Jr. Servium students. List to follow.
