St. Teresa will host Real Men Wear Pink night September 16th during the varsity football game vs. Tuscola at 7pm. St. Teresa, along with several other area high schools has joined St. Mary’s Hospital’s 4th annual Real Men Wear Pink campaign.
“The Real Men Wear Pink campaign gives men an opportunity to show their support of women facing breast cancer,” stated Kevin Kast, President and CEO of St. Mary’s Hospital. “Men can take an active role in reminding and encouraging women to make annual mammography appointments and to take care of their health.”
Dr. Ken Hendriksen, Principal and CEO at St. Teresa High School said, “By wearing pink, our students, faculty, parents, alumni, and fans can show our support of women and breast cancer awareness. We are pleased to be joining St. Mary’s Hospital to get more people involved in this campaign. “
St. Teresa is selling Real Men Wear Pink t-shirts for $10 until September 15th. All proceeds benefit the Real Men Wear Pink campaign. To order a shirt and for more information, contact the St. Teresa Advancement Office at 875-2431 or 875-7950.
