ASSUMPTION — St. Teresa has made a habit out of playing in tight games as of late.
But as the Bulldogs’ 4-2 Okaw Valley Conference win over Central A&M on Wednesday showed, once they grab an early lead, they’re hard to beat.
“We’ve been in a lot of close ballgames so far this year,” said St. Teresa coach Jim Stewart, whose team won a 1-0 game over Tuscola the day before. “So that’s why we play for some early runs and then let our pitching and defense take care of the rest.”
