Coach Kenney Talks About the Twilight Invitational

A note from the Boy’s Track Coach, Bryan Kenney:

The St Teresa boys track and field team had a very successful night at the Twilight Invitational in Petersburg. The night started with Chris Hein setting a new PR (personal record) in Discuss with a 146 foot throw for 2nd place while John Bryles got 3rd. Brady Moore then took first in the shot put and Zach Fitzgerald got 6th. Jacardia Wright took 3rd in the Long Jump and 5th in the High Jump with Chris Hein taking 6th. Mike Davis took 2nd and Christian Archer 4th in the Triple Jump.

Our Running got off to great start with our 4×800 taking 2nd. Our 4×100 got a new PR with a 44.89 and took 2nd behind a strong New Berlin team. Jackson Stewart then took 3rd in the 2 mile with Adrian Caceres taking 6th. Jason Duncan then won the 100 with a new PR for the season. Our 4×200 then took 3rd. Alex Hein ran a great race to take 3rd in the 400. Mike Davis then took 2nd in the 300 hurdles with Nik Velchek taking 4th. Jackson Stewart took 3rd and Gabe Olson took 4th in the 1600. Zach Jarrett won the 200 with a new PR of 23.2. Our final race was the 4×400. We had an all senior squad of Ethan Lehmann, Christian Archer, Zach Hooker, and Gabe Olson who took 4th and secured the win for the team.

We ended up beating New Berlin by 2 points. Overall it was a great night for the Boys team with many PRs.
