Catholic Curriculum

Freshman - Understanding Your Faith - Hebrew Scriptures Students review the basics of the catholic Faith, work through the reality of religious experience and concentrate on the reality of Jesus Christ as a focal Christian belief.

Students strive to identify their own faith struggles and to be able to see how God is working in their lives as He did in the lives of the Israelites.

Sophomore - Growing in Christian Morality - Jesus in the New Testament Students consider the personal development of the individual, center on Jesus Christ as the model of all humanness, and look at the virtues of Jesus as can be seen in the lives of people past and present.

Students learn the basic Catholic teaching on the humanity and divinity of Jesus Christ. They are invited to explore the New Testament and come to know Jesus of faith as someone personal in his or her life.

Junior - Church History - World Religions Students study the Christian/Catholic Church its beginning to its present form and how Christians have been challenged to live out the gospel over the centuries, so that they may be better able to identify with it.

Students study other religions in order to come to respect the different traditions and thus become agents of tolerance and peace in a divided world.

Senior - Marriage and Christian Lifestyles - The Christian Call to Justice and Peace Students explore how one lives out the Christian mission in married, single, religious and ordained life. Both are experiential senior courses.
