Brandon J. Barney has been named Vice President of Development for St. Teresa High School, effective June 1, 2017. Barney will serve as an assistant to Dr. Kenneth C. Hendriksen, who recently was named Executive Director of the Educational Foundation and Development for St. Teresa High School.
Barney has spent the last four years at Millikin University’s alumni and development office, first as the Associate Director of Development and most recently as the Director of Development. During his time at Millikin, he oversaw various aspects of development and fundraising including the annual fund, major gifts, and gift processing as well as being involved in data management, marketing, and communications, and special projects.
“I am extremely excited about this opportunity, and I look forward to working with the entire St. Teresa community to grow the impact of the Foundation and to continue providing students with an excellent faith-based education,” said Barney.
As VP, Barney will work closely with Hendriksen to direct and implement strategies and processes to complete an upcoming ten million dollar campaign.
“Mr. Barney brings a multitude of experiences related to fund-raising. We’re certainly pleased to have him at St. Teresa as we embark on our upcoming campaign,” Hendriksen stated.
Barney received both his Bachelors and MBA from Millikin University, His wife, Kelsi, is the Pre-K Family Services Coordinator for Decatur Public Schools. Together they have a 1-year old son, Kolton.
