St.Teresa Driver Education Course
The 9 week driver education course is taught on the
St.Teresa campus by a DPS61 driver educator during the school day. The course
prepares the student for the written test. Students will need to drive with a
permit for 9 months. The class is scheduled by the St. Teresa guidance office
during the school year and by DPS61 during the summer session (see below).
To obtain the permit a student must: pass the written test & the vision exam.
Permit is active for two years.
Course Fee: $15.00 made payable to DPS61 the first
week of class
Fee: $20.00 made payable to Secretary of State prior to earning their permit
Birthdate determines when
a student is eligible for the course.

Teresa Behind The Wheel Course
The Behind the Wheel course is taught by a DPS61
Educator on the St. Teresa campus.
Students will be contacted by the DPS61 educator to schedule the
required sessions of instructional driving.
The sessions are scheduled for 6 weeks and the student will drive 2
times a week. (Students must have 6
hours of behind the wheel and 6 hours of observation).

may vary and are at the discretion of the instructor.

Student’s will drive:

50 hours with adult supervision (minimum of 10 hours
need to be at night)
