With your help, St. Teresa High School’s financial condition and related student enrollment challenges will hopefully stabilize during the next few years. Maintaining a balanced budget in the operational fund continues to be the main fiscal goal at St. Teresa.
We have “tracked” student enrollments in both the Decatur Area public and Catholic Elementary schools for several years, and as anticipated, next year’s enrollment at St. Teresa will probably increase about 18 students.
It is projected that the 2016-17 enrollment will be between 275-280 students. With this in mind, the St. Teresa Board of Directors recently established the following tuition costs for the 2016-17 school year:
|For First Student in family||$6450 (annually)||up $250|
|For Second Student||$5875 (annually)||up $200|
|For Third Student||$3700 (annually)||up $100|
|International/Foreign Exchange Student (Flat Fee)||$9500 (annually)|
All book fees, registration fees, athletic participation fees, student activity fees, graduation/testing fees and the calendar quota have been frozen at current rates and will remain the same for the upcoming school year. Please remember that the SCRIP and Bingo programs can help defray some of your costs.
You are reminded that financial aid is provided to families based on a PSAS application, available from St. Teresa’s website. On the home page, click Admissions, click Financial Aid, complete the Student Aid Form and submit electronically following the instructions delineated on the form.
Paper copies are also obtainable in the Main Office. You are encouraged to apply even if you have a doubt whether or not you qualify. Some families have been surprised, even though the amount awarded has been smaller than others received. If you’re in doubt – apply! Be advised that the application deadline to qualify for the 2016-17 school year is April 28, 2016.
Thank you for everything you do for St. Teresa High School; it is your commitment that allows us to continue our mission to provide a quality Catholic educational program to our students. Please contact me if you have any questions or comments at (217) 875-2431.
